Some people recommend listening to them during long car rides, while taking a walk or while cleaning the house. Downloadable books are free and can be downloaded to a portable device such as an iPod or listened to from your home computer. It is a fun way for children to experience books. The blog is interactive - you can add comments or ask questions about the articles. | | | | Instructions for Searching our Calalog for specific types of materials: Did you know that you can search on-line to see what books, DVDs, audiobooks and music CDs we have in the libraries collection? Click on the tab at the left that says "Library Catalog" to start your search. We are frequently asked if you can search our catalog to see only our DVDs or only our audiobooks, etc. Click on this button to see an example of how to search for only books on CD or DVDs :  | One of the best features on this site is the calendar that you will find on the lower left of this page. You can use the calendar to see the events planned at the Library, Community House and eventually around town. The Harbor Beach Area District Library owns and operates the Community House. The Community House has rooms, including a gymnasium available for members of the community to rent. Please click on the "Rental" button on the left hand side of this page for more information.
